SnapHaul is a new company but not a one-man band. We run a three-truck fleet with proper crews, which is the difference between a job that takes one visit and a job that takes three. A full house clearance, a hot tub, a garage that has not been opened in a decade — those need two people and the right truck, not somebody making repeat trips in a pickup.
What we have kept from starting small is the part customers actually care about. You call and get a person who knows the schedule. The price is agreed before anything is touched. The crew that quotes the job is the crew that turns up, and you hear from us if anything changes.
We also cover a deliberately tight area — sixteen counties around Columbus rather than the whole state. We would rather be somewhere we can genuinely reach the same week than put a pin in every town in Ohio and let half the bookings down.
Why the prices are on the website
Almost nobody in this trade publishes prices. The standard playbook is to get someone on the phone, send a truck out, and give the number when the customer has already spent an hour on it and feels awkward saying no.
We would rather lose the jobs we are too expensive for and keep the ones we are right for. So the per-item prices and the load rates are both published, the things that legitimately change a price are published next to them, and a two-minute phone call gets you a firm number rather than a range.
- Pricing is based on how much room the load takes in the truck, plus weight for dense material.
- The minimum for a single small item is $85.
- The quoted price includes the labour, the drive and the disposal fee. There is no separate dump charge added at the end.
- Staging items in a drive-up spot saves you about $20 on a typical job, because it turns a carry into a load.
- The price quoted on the phone is firm. If what is there is materially more than what was described, we tell you the new price before we load anything — you are free to walk away at that point.
Not straight to landfill
Every load gets sorted before it gets dumped, because most of it is worth more somewhere else. Furniture and appliances in usable condition are offered to donation centres. Metal and electronics go to recycling. Yard waste goes to composting. Only what is genuinely finished goes to the landfill, and on a typical household load that is well under half of it.
This is not an environmental pitch so much as arithmetic — the landfill charges by the ton, so separating a load is what keeps the price down.
